CBD Concentrates

CBD Concentrates provide a way to rapidly introduce higher doses of cannabidiol to the system than any other method.  Concentrates are created by using one of several processes to remove unwanted compounds from the raw hemp flower so only one or more of the cannabinoids and useful cofactors are remaining. These extracts are commonly made using a chemical solvent such as ethanol, propane or butane and are then further processed to remove any residual compounds.  Another more uncommon method of extraction uses heat and pressure to “press” raw hemp or kief into a concentrate colloquially referred to as rosin.  Regardless of the extraction method, the resulting products contain significantly more of the active compounds than the base raw material, while still maintaining a THC content of less than 0.3%.  These concentrates are then added to products like oil or lotion to create the final products.  In addition to use as an additive, these concentrates can be used by themselves so large doses of CBD can be consumed with an almost immediate onset.  Those seeking this kind of relief usually vaporize or smoke the concentrates.
